Organization structure

Unit types, organization units, positions and job grades, needed before adding employees.

Every employee needs an assignment: unit, position, grade and employment type. Prepare this data first in the Personnel menu. New companies already have examples you can edit.

Step 1 — Unit types (Organization Types)

Already there: COMPANY, DIV (division), DEPT (department), TEAM. Add more if needed, for example BRANCH.

Step 2 — Organization units (Organization)

Units form a tree. The top unit (the company name) already exists.

  1. Add a unit: code, name, type, and parent (for example an Operations division under the company).
  2. Optional: the unit head. Unit heads are used to check managers in the organization chart.

Step 3 — Positions

Already there: Director, Head, Manager, Supervisor, Staff, Intern. Each position has a level. The level decides who may work overtime (by default only Staff). See Overtime.

Step 4 — Job grades

G1–G4 already exist with a salary of 0–0. Fill in the minimum–maximum salary range and the level order. Grades are used for FLAT overtime rates.

Filling in examples

Older companies whose data is still empty can use the Fill defaults button on the add-employee page. Existing data is never changed.

Delete = deactivate: deleted data is kept and old references keep working, but it can no longer be chosen. Set its status back to active to use it again.
