Bill of quantities (BOQ)
A project's work items with prices, discounts and taxes, the basis for orders and invoices.
Menu Projects → Bill of Quantities.
Step 1 — Prepare the BOQ
Choose the project (the partner comes from the project), then enter the lines: description, quantity, unit, unit price, line discount (amount or percent) and taxes (up to 5 per line). A header discount is shared over the lines in proportion.
line base = quantity × price − line discount − share of the header discount
total = Σ base + added taxes (VAT) − withheld taxes (income tax)
Step 2 — Approve
A draft BOQ is approved by someone with Approve permission (it appears in the notification bell). Prices, discounts and taxes are then fixed.
Step 3 — Use it
| For | Rule |
|---|---|
| Purchase orders | The quantity per line may not exceed what is left. Cancelling an order gives it back |
| Customer invoices | Everything left, or a percentage per term. Never above the line base |
A fully invoiced BOQ becomes Closed. A BOQ can be cancelled only while no order or invoice uses it.
