Customer invoices
Create invoices from a bill of quantities or by hand, percentage terms, posting, receipts and void.
Menu Finance → Customer Invoices. A customer is a partner marked as customer (Projects and partners).
Step 1 — Create the invoice
- From a bill of quantities: choose an approved one. Without a percentage, everything left is invoiced. With a
percentage (for example
30), each line is invoiced at that share of its base, for progress terms. - By hand: choose the customer and enter the lines.
Step 2 — Post
| Debit | Credit |
|---|---|
| Accounts receivable for the rest, prepaid income tax (withheld taxes) | Revenue per line, output VAT |
An invoice from a bill of quantities adds to its invoiced amount and never exceeds what is left. A fully invoiced bill of quantities becomes Closed.
Step 3 — Receive payment
Enter the amount (part payments allowed), date and cash/bank account. Overdue invoices appear in the notification bell.
Void
A posted invoice without receipts can be voided with a note. Its amount goes back to the bill of quantities.
